Aircraft cabins lose climate control the moment engines shut down, and running the APU just to maintain a comfortable temperature adds unnecessary engine hours, fuel burn, and noise on the ramp. An aircraft air conditioning cart supplies cool air externally, so cabins stay comfortable for passengers, crew, and maintenance technicians during ground time in the hangar or at the gate, without the aircraft's own systems running. Tronair has built air conditioning carts for nearly 50 years under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system, with units sized for everything from light business jets to large commercial aircraft.Reliable temperature-controlled air helps to ensure those inside an aircraft are safe and comfortable, so make sure you have the aircraft air conditioning you need today. Whether parked in the hangar, or at the gate, Tronair has the airplane air conditioning equipment to keep the internal temperature of your planes cool.
Electric aircraft air conditioners run on single-phase or three-phase facility power, with configurations available across 208V, 230V, and 460V at 60Hz to match different ground power infrastructure. Many models are also available with or without a built-in heater, giving operators cooling and heating from a single unit when facility power is available.
Gas driven air conditioning carts generate their own power on site, making them a practical choice for ramps without ready access to three-phase facility power. Tronair's gas driven units deliver 13.5 kW of AC output and are available with or without an integrated heater.
Diesel driven air conditioners, including Tronair's 4 ton unit, are built for continuous duty cycles on ramps where diesel remains the preferred fuel source, offering dependable cooling output without relying on facility power.
LPG driven air conditioning carts offer another self-contained power option for facilities that prefer propane over gas or diesel, giving ramp crews flexibility in fuel sourcing based on what is already available on site.

What size air conditioning cart does my aircraft need?
Air conditioning cart sizing depends on cabin volume and expected duty cycle. Tronair sales engineers can review your specific aircraft and recommend a cart with output matched to your cabin size and climate conditions.
Are electric or diesel powered air conditioning carts better for airport ramps?
It depends on facility infrastructure. Electric carts work well where reliable facility power is available, while diesel powered carts generate their own power on site, making them a better fit for ramps or remote locations without a fixed power connection.
Tronair offers electric air conditioning units in single-phase and three-phase configurations across 208V, 230V, and 460V at 60Hz, allowing operators to match a unit to their facility's existing power infrastructure.
Yes. Several electric and gas driven models are available with a built-in heater, giving operators both cooling and heating from a single unit, as well as versions without a heater for facilities that only need cooling.
Electric units run on facility power and require a compatible voltage and phase connection, while gas, diesel, and LPG driven units generate their own power on site, making them a better fit for ramps without ready access to three-phase facility power.
Yes. Tronair air conditioning carts are designed for broad compatibility across business jets, regional aircraft, and larger commercial models, with multiple voltage, phase, and fuel options available to match different fleets.
Whether you need to keep a single aircraft comfortable in the hangar or condition cabins across a full commercial ramp operation, Tronair can help you select an air conditioning cart sized to your aircraft and climate. Our sales engineers will review your cabin volume and facility power access, then coordinate purchase, freight, and post-sale technical support.
