Northrop Corporation was a top American aircraft manufacturer from 1939 to 1994, when it merged with Grumman Aerospace Corporation and formed Northrop Grumman. The Northrop T-38 is one of the most popular supersonic jet trainers in the world and is still in use today by the United States Air Force.
