Tronair Celebrates 50 Years!
Tronair News
On Saturday May 14, 2022, Tronair Hosted a Belated 50th Anniversary Open House Celebration for their Employees and Families at its Headquarters behind the TOL Airport in Swanton, OH. The event had over 800 people in attendance. One of which being the first Tronair Employee, Al Shoeman. (Photographed with Current CEO Paul Schwarzbaum) When the company was originally founded in 1971 by Al and the Dana Corporate Flight Department, the name Danair was chosen. It wasn’t until Danair was sold to Tronco in 1979, that the company received its world-renowned name Tronair.

The first product designed and manufactured by Tronair was the Snap-Bak King Air Towbar. Once towbars were developed, then came Jacks and Hydraulic Power Units shortly after. Since then, Tronair has been building out its product portfolio and now manufactures equipment to support over 300+ different types of aircrafts with over 35 product lines totaling thousands of different pieces of equipment.
The event offered a time to celebrate the last 50 years of Tronair and all the people that contributed to the success of the company thus far. A huge thank you to all of our customers for trusting us to provide the highest quality Ground Support Equipment in the Aviation Industry! Enabling Safe Flight is our mission at Tronair and we look forward to doing that for Decades to come.
