Tronair, Inc. (“Tronair”), a portfolio company of Golden Gate Capital is proud to announce that Eagle Tugs, a Tronair company, has successfully moved into 1 Air Cargo Parkway East in Swanton, Ohio. Our new state of the art facility will become the home of all Tronair portfolio companies and within a week of Eagle’s relocation, the first production unit came out of the facility.

Eagle Tugs has been a member of the Tronair family for nearly two years allowing us to offer a complete suite of GSE products. Since the Eagle purchase, we have also acquired Columbus Jack/Regent, the largest supplier of hydraulic jacks to the US Defense Department, and Datco Media, the home of EBis cloud based software for GSE fleet management.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eagle to our new facility. It is an exciting first step as we move the manufacturing companies in the Tronair portfolio under one roof at what will be a fantastic state of the art manufacturing facility.” Harley Kaplan, CEO and President of Tronair.

The Eagle Has Landed

The result is an excellent reputation recognized by aircraft OEM’s and service centers worldwide. The company is based in Holland, Ohio and has been in operation for 42 years.

About Eagle Tug:
Eagle has been manufacturing the industry’s most reliable and functional tow tractors for over 45 years. Designed and manufactured in the United States, the TT Series is backed by factory direct service and support. With a robust product line and the strongest warranty in the industry, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of quality and customer service. At Eagle Tugs, we earn our wings without ever leaving the ground.

About Jet Porter:
The JetPorter product line was acquired in 1998. We immediately invested in improved technology with regenerative braking, dual motors and standardized parts for aftermarket support all under ISO compliance. To meet customer demands we added the SOFTCAPTURE® technology and the larger JP125S. This gives our customers greater choice in how they manage their aircraft fleet. Let us provide you a technical brief on the best solution for your operation.

About Columbus Jack / Regent:
Columbus Jack is the largest supplier of hydraulic jacks to the U.S. military and a leading supplier of hydraulic jacks to the commercial aerospace market. Columbus Jack consistently complies with tough military standards, which aligns well with their culture of quality and customer service. Columbus Jack was founded in the 1940s as a supplier to the U.S. military. Regent was founded in 1929, and over the course of time, has served most of the world’s airlines, airframe and aerospace manufacturing companies.

About DatcoMedia:
In order to meet the demands of the FAA and customers and maintain a library of records for parts and equipment purchased and handle warranty claims, a proprietary software was developed. On the shop floor, the mechanics needed an easier process to perform the repairs to the aircraft as well as to record the work. Today, EBis is used by a wide array of users from multiple location jet centers to engine shops to small single location operations from the United States to Europe. It is used to manage the ground support operations of Southwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, JetBlue, and Virgin Australia. It is used also by third party maintenance providers to help provide first class service to GSE customers.
